Learning outcomes:

Many start-ups fail due to multiple reasons: lack of finance, inappropriate business model and the inability to foresee the risks. During this class we will go through all the methods available to start-ups founders to raise capital and to run in a controlled risk environment. At the end of the class students should:

• Gain techniques to better understand the methods of raising VC funding
• Understand the legal requirements when raising capital
• Perform a due diligence in order to assess the startup’s viability
• Focus and pitch to raise capital
